Terms
What you can rely on here, what you cannot, and where the responsibility sits.
Thailand Travel Cost Calculator is operated by Meyer Digital.
This site gives you a costed estimate, not a quotation. We are not a travel agent, a tour operator, a booking site or a ticket seller. We sell nothing, take no payment, hold no reservations and cannot commit any supplier to a price. By using the site you accept the terms below — they are short, and worth the two minutes.
Estimates, not quotations
Every figure here is our best modelled answer to “what would this cost?” — not an offer, a guarantee, or a price anyone has agreed to charge you. The total is deliberately shown as a range, and the range is the honest part. Nobody can tell you in advance what a hotel will charge on a particular night.
We distinguish official, sampled and modelled figures. Missing prices are not published:
- Official — read from a primary source we name and date: the Royal Gazette fee schedule, an operator’s own fare system, a government portal, the Bank of Thailand. These are accurate as of the date shown and can still change after it.
- Sampled — derived from secondary sources or from market observation, because no authority publishes a price for it. Hotel rates, meal costs and domestic fares work this way. We publish no international airfare. Sampled figures are marked as sampled, and they are estimates in the fullest sense of the word.
Where a section’s numbers are still being verified we say so and publish no figure, rather than fill the gap with something plausible. Prices, fares, fees and exchange rates all move. A figure that was right when we read it can be wrong by the time you book, and a long trip compounds small drifts — so treat the output as a planning budget, check the prices that matter most to you at source, and keep a contingency.
Modelled figures are calculations or assumptions based on sourced prices. Their ranges reflect uncertainty.
Visas, entry rules and other things you must verify yourself
Do not make a travel decision about entry to Thailand on the strength of this site. Visa exemptions, permitted lengths of stay, arrival-card requirements, extension fees and proof-of-funds rules are set by the Thai authorities, change with little notice, and differ by nationality and by circumstance. An announced change is also not the same as an effective one — a rule can be approved months before it applies, or never apply at all.
Before booking, verify your own position with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai Immigration Bureau, or the Thai embassy or consulate for your country. Those bodies are the authority; we are a calculator. The same applies to anything with a legal or medical dimension — insurance, vaccinations, medication import rules, customs allowances and driving requirements are outside what we model and outside what we can advise on.
We are not selling you anything
There is no product on this page, no cart and no card form. We earn no commission on any journey, room or ticket you go on to buy, and we hold no commercial relationship that could pull a figure in one direction. If that ever changes, we will disclose it plainly at the point it appears — on the page carrying the link, not buried in this one. If we ever add a paid service, it will be a separate, clearly marked step with its own terms, and this page will change before it launches.
Using our figures elsewhere
The underlying fees are public facts and belong to nobody. Our compilation of them — the wording, tables, model and the confidence labelling — is ours. Quote a figure or two with a link back to us and we are glad you found it useful. Republishing our tables wholesale, or scraping the site to reproduce it, is not something we permit. If you want to use the data properly, ask; we are reasonable about it.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, free, with no promise that it will be available, complete or error-free at any given moment. We may change the model, correct figures, or add and remove sections without notice — and correcting a number we got wrong is something we will always do rather than defend.
Limits of our responsibility, in plain English
You are responsible for your own trip and your own money. We publish the best figures we can source and show our working so you can judge them for yourself, but you use them at your own risk. If a figure here turns out to be wrong or out of date, we are not liable for what follows from relying on it — a budget that fell short, a flight that cost more, a fee you did not expect, a booking you would not otherwise have made, or a trip denied or disrupted for reasons of entry policy.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if consumer law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived, you keep them in full. Subject to that, our total liability to you for anything connected with this site is limited to the amount you have paid us — which, for the free calculator, is nothing.
None of this is professional advice. It is not legal, immigration, tax, medical or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for the official sources named above.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the site changes in a way that makes it inaccurate, and date the change below. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated version applies.
